I want listeners to feel as though someone has carefully put together a playlist just for them.
On 5 August, Miss Eden makes her radio debut with Nocturne, a weekly journey through timeless music, hidden discoveries and songs chosen to accompany the quieter hours. Before opening the microphone, she shares the story behind the programme, the music that shaped her, and the atmosphere she hopes listeners will discover every Wednesday night.
This is your very first radio show. How are you feeling just a few days before launch?
I’m incredibly excited… and a little nervous too! It’s a completely new adventure for me, so I think a few butterflies are only natural. More than anything, though, I can’t wait to share my musical world with listeners and keep them company for an hour that’s a little removed from everyday life.
If you had to describe Nocturne in three words, what would they be, and why?
Night, because it’s the moment when life slows down and we finally have time to listen. Relaxation, because Nocturne is a chance to unwind, switch off and leave the day behind. And emotion, because every song has been chosen to tell a story or awaken a memory. I hope everyone will discover something that speaks to them personally.
What inspired you to step behind the microphone?
A little over two years ago, my husband casually suggested that I should try radio and share the music I love. At the time, I thought it was a lovely idea, but I never imagined it would actually happen. Then one day he told me I’d be joining the NEWDAWN.FM schedule. I smiled, took a moment for it to sink in, and thought, “Why not? Let’s do it!” Now I’m genuinely delighted to be part of this wonderful adventure.
What kind of experience do you hope to create for listeners during that hour?
I’d love Nocturne to become a moment where people can slow down. An hour to breathe, relax and simply enjoy beautiful music. I want listeners to feel as though someone has carefully put together a playlist just for them—mixing familiar favourites, hidden gems and a few surprises. If they finish the show feeling calmer than when they started, then I’ll know I’ve done my job.
What role does music play in your life away from the studio?
Music has always been part of my everyday life. It follows me through almost every moment. I listen to a lot of soul and R&B, but I also enjoy rap—even though that’s not the direction Nocturne takes. For this show, I wanted something softer and more intimate, where every song has room to breathe. It’s a different way of experiencing music, and one I’m looking forward to sharing.
Nocturne playlists blend timeless classics, hidden discoveries and a few French songs. How do you choose what makes the cut?
I often begin with the songs that have stayed with me over the years—the ones I loved when I was younger and that still move me today. I also enjoy introducing listeners to lesser-known tracks, those little musical treasures that deserve to be heard, alongside a handful of beautiful French songs. The goal is to create a seamless musical journey where every track feels like a natural part of the story. I build each playlist with my heart, imagining what I’d love to hear if I were listening at home myself.
Is there an artist or song that’s been with you throughout your life?
Without hesitation, Barry White. His voice is timeless—warm, distinctive and instantly comforting. And then there’s Sade, whose elegance, grace and ability to convey so much emotion with such simplicity have always inspired me. They’re two artists I return to again and again, and they’ve both shaped my musical world.
When are you most likely to be listening to music?
Music is with me throughout the day, but especially when I’m driving or working. I almost always have something playing in the background—it helps me concentrate and lifts my mood. Then, in the early evening, I enjoy sitting down, slowing the pace and listening more attentively. It’s one of my favourite moments of the day.
How would you like listeners to feel when Nocturne comes to an end?
I hope they’ll feel they’ve spent a wonderful hour in good company. I’d love them to finish the programme already looking forward to the following week because they’ve discovered a show that feels welcoming, comforting and a little bit special. I also hope they’ll be pleasantly surprised—perhaps by rediscovering an old favourite or falling in love with a song they’ve never heard before. If they end the hour feeling more relaxed, smiling and wanting to come back, then I’ll know Nocturne has done exactly what it was meant to do.

The countdown has begun. From 5 August, step into the world of Nocturne every Wednesday on NEWDAWN.FM—a programme that celebrates the art of listening, reconnects you with timeless songs, and offers the perfect soundtrack to the close of your day.
Some music does more than simply play… it creates a mood, a memory, a moment. That’s the experience Miss Eden hopes to share with every edition of Nocturne.
We look forward to welcoming you on the very first night.
